With the festive season upon us, we thought we’d share our favourite trendy spots in Leicester to enjoy an evening tipple.

The Bottle Garden

Bringing the outdoors in with its urban-garden theme, The Bottle Garden is a breath of fresh air to Leicester’s nightlife scene. Nestled within St Martins Square, its trendy décor features lush greenery, potted succulents and ambient lighting. The relaxed atmosphere and delicious selection of botanical- inspired cocktails make it the perfect place for a date night or catch-up with friends.

The Gadabout

A stone’s throw away from Leicester Cathedral, The Gadabout possesses a delightful mix of contemporary and old world charm. Occupying a 17th-century tavern, with its exposed bricks and alcoves, the bar is a cosy spot to enjoy one of its signature cocktails or carefully selected beer and wines, inspired by every corner of the globe. The Gadabout will be celebrating its 1st birthday in November, so keep your eyes peeled for their new cocktail menu.

Spirits Bar

Having only opened in June this year, Spirits Bar is a unique and quirky addition to Leicester with its escape rooms located in the basement. It’s hard to peel your eyes away from its attractive, gothic décor which features a statue of Icarus and church window behind the bar, as well as a giant colourful lightbox. Sample one of the many cocktails on the bars menu, from traditional favourites to more curious concoctions.

45 West

From the people behind locally-made Burleighs Gin, 45 West Bottle Shop and Bar is the ultimate spot to enjoy the perfect G&T with friends. The extensive menus offer a range of enticing gin-based cocktails which showcase the versatility of Burleighs. Even the fruit juices and syrups are made in-house using locally sourced ingredients. If gin isn’t for you, 45 West has it covered, as there’s also a selection wine, craft beer and classic cocktails.
